Dinner Party (aka Michelle Goes Domestic)

The Dinner Party was a collaboration between all five of us roommates, including Raechel, who volunteered to whip up the main course -- curry-infused chicken noodle soup. After I purchased a massive amount of food from Safeway.com (as in, so much that our "pantry" was bulging and the fridge had to be rearranged), I threw together a salad, veggie tray, garlic bread and ice cream cake. Then we started inviting people. It started with 10 people, and eventually ended up with 16... The food was great -- we actually had too much. Top hits, of course, were the soup, cookies, and ice cream pie. Go figure.
Becky and I discuss world issues, ethics and politics over cookies.
And as the numbers dwindled a bit, we busted out Raechel's laptop and checked out some stuff on YouTube. Personal favorite -- Office clips.

And by the time our last guest left, the apartment and floor were trashed. Enter Greg and Tim, who so kindly came over to help clean up. Yes, that is Tim at the sink, and the red object below the table is our beloved Air Force cadet Greg, who actually scrubbed the floor using a paper towel. And since no vacuum was available, he wrapped tape around his fingers and picked up crumbs off the carpet by hand. Now that's dedication.
In all, the evening was great fun. I think Room 16 has found its niche -- in hosting delicious dinners.
