Outrage is: a reckless 18-year-old driver killing the prince and princess of Tonga while they were trying to learn about democracy and bring it to their South Pacific kingdom. How many will now suffer?

Sympathy is: meeting 82-year-old Marge at the pharmacy today, and hearing about her pain. She was another complaining old person. But she was also so sweet underneath it all. And time -- and Kaiser -- seem to give her the short end of the stick.

Ludicrous is: the anonymous guy who left an irate, hugely profane message on the church answering machine this morning. He was livid after we put a Vacation Bible School flyer under his doormat.

Hope is: seeing 23 people baptized this Sunday, almost all kids. Knowing that God can change a heart permanently, even a little kid's.
