My First Book (Anyone Want a Signed First Edition?)

Over a year after we finished writing the copy for "Mission of Hope," the book was published last month. Four other Biola journalism students and I spent three intensive weeks documenting the impact of a non-profit that's transformed a troubled neighborhood in Santa Ana, Calif. over the past 17 years.

It's a bit surreal to see your name listed on the pages of a real, live paperback, in elegant serif type. Sure, it's "self-published." I couldn't even find it on Amazon, though it has an ISBN number and a bar code so it's "Borders-ready" once we're discoverd. But I hope it's a premonition of more books to come from this author.
