'Tis the Season

Things I've been enjoying during my Christmas break thus far:

1. Getting more sleep than logically necessary (partially due to the fact that I never drink my mom's crude oil [aka coffee] at home)

2. Being amused at how puffy my wisdom-toothless cheeks are.

3. Visiting the Manteca Public Library (hardly a highbrow institution) and checking out a hodgepodge of books on topics ranging from etiquette to David Copperfield.

4. Shaking 200 hands at my new church in Grass Valley.

5. Going through internet withdrawals while at my grandma's house for the weekend.

6. Sitting by a cozy, crackling fire in which my elder brother is burning old fenceposts and his notes from this semester's History of Latin America course.

7. Watching Elf, A Christmas Carol and Christmas Vacation with my holiday-loving mom.
