Raindrops

I hear droplets splattering on my window right now. It's supposed to rain tomorrow--cold, heavy rain--and the chilly draft that's slipping under the poorly sealed glass is an ominous reminder that southern California is trying to make February a winter month. Against its will, of course.

So here's to ducks and frogs and snails and all those others critters who welcome low pressure systems. Here's to bringing out the umbrella and poncho, and here's to putting on a hood--it really is winter!

***UPDATE*** The weatherman was wrong. It's nice and sunny and the rain didn't do much at all. Except make this duck happy.
