If you can't be with the one you love ...

I find it a bit ironic that there are so many people who really want fellowship, really have a problem with the status quo, are fed up with their churches.

So why, when these people get together, are they so often still divided? Why doesn't their disdain for shallow "fellowship" unite them in a cause for something greater?

Maybe they're missing the point. I think fellowship is about loving the ones you're with. Serving, leading, truly loving the ones you're with.

You didn't get to choose the family you were born into, but when it comes to church, people can be control freaks and fault finders.

Maybe we'll discover true fellowship when we stop trying to be with the ones we (think we) love and rather learn to love the ones we're with.
