I used to be really motivated about working out at the Biola fitness center -- and then second semester of freshman year came about and I haven't been a regular since.
One problem is that I love walking places, but that doesn't really work out anything but maybe the calves. I'm active, but I'm missing out on all the stuff I loved about first semester freshman year -- namely toned arms.
Super Wal-Mart once again came to the rescue with this week's Product of the Week. My set of 5 lb. dumbbells work for simple, everyday arm exercises, but also strap to your hands so they stay put during even the most intense of neighborhood walks. Now it's easy to make the most out of my after-work stroll.
They're just under $7 apiece, they're made of fun, squishy foam, and best of all, they get rid of excuses when it comes to exercising ... or at least a few excuses.
